Land Surface Temperature Responses to Land Use Land Cover Dynamics (District of Taroudant, Morocco)

چکیده

Land surface temperature plays an essential role in estimating radiation budgets, heat balance studies, as a control for climate dynamics and soil–vegetation–atmosphere transfer modeling, studying the impact of land use/land cover (LULC) changes at regional level. This study provides comprehensive evaluation relationship between use (LST), through landscape assessment based on multi-source multi-sensor remote sensing technologies. In particular, was performed using Landsat satellite 5 TM, ETM, OLI 8 data three different dates (1985, 2001 2017) aimed to assess effects LST distribution region Taroudant, Morocco. Spatial statistical analysis comparison maps generated from remotely sensed GIS indicate existence Taroudant 1985 2017. These are predominantly characterized by increase built-up areas bare ground decrease natural (vegetation, forest, etc.). The average temperatures 1985, 2017 open forests were 32.74 °C, 34.37 °C 39.17 respectively. farming greenhouse 24.09 28.5 35.58 barren soils 37.14 38.38 40.01 °C. lands 24.31 27.87 28.61 As result, soil artificialization everything associated with it, such gas emissions, abusive consumption land, likely be origin environmental problems change marked mainly these temperature, irregular rainfall, unprecedented periods drought.

Impact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature

The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...

Microclimate land surface temperatures across urban land use/ land cover forms

Urbanization brings biophysical changes in the composition of the landscape. Such change has an impact on the thermal environment locally. The urban mosaic of land use and land cover is thus characteristically composed of local climate zones. The spatial variation in the land surface temperature across specific zone is studied for Bhopal city. The objective of the study was to understand how th...

Highlighting the Importance of the Vegetation Variable on Distributed Land surface temperature on different land use/land cover in Javanrud city range

In environmental models, Vegetations are considered as an important part in controlling environmental changes. To determine the importance of vegetation on land surface temperature (LST), preliminary preprocessing was performed on Landsat 8 image and a split window procedure was used to determine surface temperature. Temperature difference with the surrounding synoptic stations was estimated to...

Modeling Land-use and Land-cover Change

Models are used in a variety of fields, including land change science, to better understand the dynamics of systems, to develop hypotheses that can be tested empirically, and to make predictions and/or evaluate scenarios for use in assessment activities. Modeling is an important component of each of the three foci outlined in the science plan of the Land-use and -cover change (LUCC) project (Tu...
